Second Outdoor Service

We will have our second outdoor service of the year this Sunday on July 24 at 11:00 AM. Therefore, NO SERVICE WILL BE HELD AT CHURCH DOWNTOWN.

Here are the details:

Meeting location: Parc La Fontaine at 11AM (close to the parking lot on Av. Calixa Lavallée (Sherbrooke side), behind the 24 W. bus stop on Sherbrooke).

Lunch:
There will be a potluck lunch after the service. (There is a BBQ if anyone wishes to use).
*Please sign up on the google spreadsheet so we know what to expect and prepare accordingly.
*Please note that for the main dish, the cost of preparation will be reimbursed by church upon request.

***If by any chance, no one signs up for the main dish, the lunch will be “bring your own lunch” style.***

*IMPORTANT* If the weather isn’t suitable for an outdoor service, by default the service will be held at church; keep an eye on our website or our Facebook page for updates. Let’s pray that the weather will be good!

Lastly, just a reminder that though it is an outdoor service, it is still a full service, thus a sermon will be preached and offering will be collected.

Sunday Worship Service on March 6, 2016

GMC is having its 10th anniversary retreat this weekend, from March 4 -6, at Camp Musical d’Asbestos, and the service for this Sunday March 6 will be held at the retreat site. If you wish to join us, the address is

The service is going to be at 11am, followed by lunch at the camp site. If you plan to join us for lunch after, you can choose to either bring your own lunch, or it can be provided by the camp at 20$.

GMC Outdoor Service & Baptism on August 23, 2015

Come join us this Sunday August 23 at Camp Voyageur, Ontario, for a special summer outdoor service as we celebrate the baptism of Amélie Knowles! There will be a potluck lunch following the service, so bring your favorite dish to share with everyone!

Here are the details:

GMC SUMMER OUTDOOR SERVICE & BAPTISM
-Location: Voyageur Provincial Park in Ontario (right after crossing the Quebec border, about an hour away; see directions and map here). Once you enter the camp, follow the signs for “beach” and after some twists and turns you will arrive at the parking area for the beach. Once parked, look for some familiar faces!
-Service Time: 11:00 am
*Note: offering will be collected

*IF YOU NEED A RIDE*:
-Meet at Grace Montreal Church at 9:15 am. Rides will leave at 9:45 AM sharp!
-Please put your name down on the rides sign-up sheet here. Sign up by Thursday night (August 20) the latest to secure your spot.
–Drivers: if you are driving there and are willing to kindly provide rides for some people, please put your name down in the same sign-up sheet, in the section “Sign up for drivers”.
*Note: Please bring cash with you, as there are park entrance fees to pay and also to share the cost of parking and gas money for the drivers (everything together should be under $10 per person).
-If you had a last minute change, please don’t forget to contact John Lim or Kamin Kwok to let them know!

Also feel free to bring your outdoor gears (swim wear, Frisbee, balls, games, etc.) for some fun activities in the afternoon!

GMC 2015 Annual Outdoor Service #2

*UPDATE* July 19 8:30am 
Unless we have a downpour, off to the park we go!

We will be having our 2nd summer outdoor service this Sunday, July 19. It will be held at Angrignon Park at 11am. Come join us to worship and fellowship with one another in the midst of God’s creation! There will be a potluck lunch after the service, so bring your favorite dish to share with everyone! Please go to the sign-up sheet here to let the organizer know what you are bringing.

*Meeting location:
shaded circle shown on the map below. To best describe where it is- it’s right across from the washroom. If you get lost, simply ask people where the washroom is and you should be able to find us (we’ll be a large group of people so it should be easy to spot!)

*Transportation:
-By car: various parking options are available; see “P” in the map. The paid parking is right across from the metro station, and it’s probably closer to where we meet. Parking fee is probably around $8 for the day. If you decide to park there, take the Boulevard des Trinitaires entrance (where you can see the metro sign). You can then either join the people at the metro station at 10:45am to go together, or simply follow the map. There is also a free parking lot (gravel ground) and is located at the de la Verendrye entrance. See map to get to the meeting location. Street parking is also available; see map for details.

*Lunch:
the church will provide the BBQ, but we’ll also need you to bring a dish to share with everyone! So sign-up sign-up! Thank you!

GMC 2015 Annual Outdoor Service #1

As it has been announced over the past few weeks, we will move our service to a park this Sunday June 21 as the first of many of our summer outdoor services. We will be going to Voyageur Provincial Park in Ontario (just shortly after crossing the provincial border) which is about an hour away. Here are the details:

GMC ANNUAL SUMMER OUTDOOR SERVICE
-Location: Voyageur Provincial Park (see directions and map here). Once you enter, follow the signs for “beach” and after some twists and turns you will arrive at the parking area for the beach. Once parked, look for some familiar faces!

2015 EASTER WEEKEND @GRACE

Good Friday Service
Please join us for our Good Friday Service to reflect upon the suffering and sacrifice of our Lord.

Arrive by 6:45pm for quiet prayer/preparation. 7pm service begins promptly.

Please note:
1. There will be a children’s program downstairs.
2. Being mindful of those who are fasting, we will not be offering any refreshments.

Easter Sunrise Worship on Mt. Royal
Every Easter morning a small group of us go to Mt. Royal before the sunrise. We watch the sunrise and celebrate the resurrection of our Lord by having a simple, but joyous time of worship. Usually we run into other believers from various churches and believing organizations around Montreal, and it can often turn into a time of corporate worship!

For those who want to join, please contact Kamin who can give you more information and even try to arrange a ride.

Easter Service and Potluck Celebration
You are most welcome to join us on Easter morning to celebrate our risen Saviour at our Easter Service! Service begins at 10:30am.

To continue our celebration we will be having a potluck lunch following the service. If you are a guest please come as you are, but you are more than welcome to contribute to the potluck. For those who are members, please look to your small group leaders or the google document to sign up for what you plan on bringing.

2. Christmas Dinner Potluck
We will be hosting a Christmas dinner potluck this Thursday, December 25 at 6:30pm. It will be an evening of fellowship with those who are alone or wishing to celebrate this special day with their family at GMC. It will be at Tim Park’s place in West Island. OUTDOOR SERVICE on SUNDAY AUG. 24, 2014

We will be having our final summer outdoor service this Sunday. It will be at La Fontaine Park (note the change of location). Come out to join us for worship and some fun fellowship lunch time afterward! As usual, the main course (BBQ) will be provided by the church but we count on you to bring the rest (potluck)!

Come join us to worship and fellowship with one another in the midst of God’s creation! This year sunrise is scheduled for 5:58AM.

For those who want to join, please meet at the Main Look Out Point, where the chalet sits(not the cross), between 5:30-5:45am to make sure we can gather and watch the sunrise together.
